PFAS-free packaging, ahead of the deadline.

Under the new EU packaging rules, from 12 August 2026 PFAS "forever chemicals" can no longer be used in food-contact packaging. Every bag we make is already 100% PFAS-free — so you're compliant from day one, with no last-minute scramble to re-source.

Sustainability

Paper that gives back to the planet.

We chose paper because it comes from renewable sources. Every Ashbury bag is crafted from 100% fresh fibres sourced from sustainably managed forests — recyclable, reusable and, when recycling isn't possible, compostable — and 100% PFAS-free, so they're safe for direct food contact.

Certified at the source

Our paper is certified by both PEFC and FSC®, and we're members of Repak — Ireland's national packaging recycling scheme.

Cleaner inks

We print with water-based flexographic inks, which carry a far lower environmental impact than solvent-based alternatives.

A closed loop

All pre-consumer paper waste is baled on site and returned to the mills, where it is re-pulped into new paper.

Made locally, shipped less

Manufacturing in Roscrea keeps transport distances short — central to our Scope 3 net-zero ambitions.
